College Football Coach is a simulation game where you step into the role of a newly-hired head coach at your chosen college. As head coach, your primary responsibilities include developing team strategy, navigating through seasons, recruiting new players, and ultimately striving to win national championships.

Upon starting your career, you'll inherit a roster of 48 players, with 23 starters. This allows you to carefully determine their positions within different playbooks for both offense and defense. Each playbook offers unique in-game stat boosts that can either benefit or hinder your team's performance against their upcoming opponents.

The regular season consists of 12 games, where you'll face off against conference opponents nine times and engage in three out-of-conference matches. Notably, your rivalry game holds significant importance as a victory grants you additional program prestige points, while a loss will result in some deductions.

These rankings dictate bowl game invitations and advancement to the semifinals and National Championship game. At the season's end, your team will gain or lose prestige based on its final rank compared to expectations.
